Michael Allen started his career at KickOff in 1994. Two years later he had helped grow the business into the largest men's magazine in South Africa, establishing strong relationships with brands across the country and launching distribution pipelines across continental Africa.

 

He has since unlocked his network and experience to support businesses including Picup, Soccerbeat, Mohau Media and many more.

Michael Allen moved to China with Naspers in 2005 ahead of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, as part of a strategic acquisition of a state owned Sports Media Group. He was positioned to capitalize on the regions high growth opportunities and to support relations between the two businesses.  â€‹

 

His tenure in Beijing lasted 6 years, where he successfully launched several foreign media brands including Golf Digest, Slam, Outside, Women's Heath, Milk, Football Weekly, and Autobild to facilitate and increase advertising spend for foreign brands in China.

Asia

Michael Allen work in Singapore as a founder of Fotoku, a CO2CO (content to commerce) social media platform built on the blockchain. This technology enabled users to share branded selfies and tracked post engagement across all platforms to reward users.​​

Michael Allen helped Fotoku expand into markets across South East Asia partnering with brands and convenience stores in Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.

Brand partnerships included multinational companies such as Unilever, P&G, Heinz, Indofoods, Nestle and Coca-Cola where digital campaigns converted to exact, measurable sales via 7Eleven, Indomaret and CircleK across South East Asia.
